Refund Policy
No refund will be made for registration or examination fees. Refunds on tuition will be made as follows.
Prior to first class 100%
Withdrawal during the first week 90%
Withdrawal during the second week 75%
Withdrawal during the third week 50%
Withdrawal during the fourth week 25%
No refund will be made after the fourth week.
All tuition, book fees, and other financial obligations must be paid in full before diplomas and transcripts are issued.
Grading
The aim of Hope Bible Institute & Seminary is to provide a performance-based degree program, which identifies knowledge skills and outcomes required to demonstrate achievement. Students are given a variety of ways to acquire and demonstrate the required competencies. Grades for completed courses are recorded using the symbols, definitions and grade points shown below:

Graduation
Diplomas and transcripts are mailed a few weeks after the completion of the degree, provided all financial obligations have been paid. Graduating students will be invited to participate in the annual commencement ceremony in May.
To be eligible for an Associates or Bachelor’s degree, a student must successfully complete his or her prescribed course of study with at least a 2.5 grade point average To be eligible for graduation with a master’s or doctoral degree, a student must have successfully completed his or her prescribed course of study with at least a 3.0 grade point average.
Students graduating with a 3.70 – 3.79 GPA will be recognized as “Cum Laude”; with a 3.80 – 3.89 GPA as “Magna Cum Laude”; with a 3.90 – 4.00 GPA as “Summa Cum Laude.”
Course Credit Hours
Hope Bible Institute & Seminary maintains the standard requirements of 16 classroom clock hours for 1 semester hour credit. Classroom courses are taught on an eight-week 2hrs lecture schedule. (16 clock hours =1 semester hour credit. Most courses earn 3 credit hours; 48 clock hours of study).
